SCHOLARSHIP

The Watson-Reese Briarfield Scholarship was established by the Tressel and Stephens families alongside Ed and Diane Reese. It was created to honor the late Frank and Norma Watson, and the care they received as residents at Briarfield Manor.

As longtime supporters of Youngstown State University, the Watsons have made several significant contributions to the school. Their daughters, Janet Stephens and Ellen Tressel are also graduates of YSU.

RECIPIENTS

The scholarship recipients must be a Briarfield employee or a direct lineal descendant of a Briarfield employee. They must be enrolled full-time or part-time in any field of study at YSU.

Recipients will be selected by the Briarfield scholarship committee, the YSU Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, and the YSU Foundation. The scholarship amount and number of awards available will vary.
